How to use
Place the COSFE mat on the dashboard or any flat surface inside your vehicle. Do not place in areas that may obstruct the driver's visibility. COSFE is not liable for misuse or use outside the product’s intended purpose and specifications.
How It Works
At the core of COSFE’s air purification technology is PtAg-PC, a next-generation photocatalyst engineered from noble metals. When exposed to light, PtAg-PC triggers advanced oxidation-reduction reactions, generating powerful reactive species including hydroxyl radicals (•OH) and superoxide ions (O₂⁻).
These active species are highly effective in breaking down harmful substances found in enclosed environments like vehicle cabins:
1 Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
VOCs such as formaldehyde, benzene, and toluene are commonly found in new car interiors and are known to cause various health concerns. PtAg-PC decomposes these molecules by breaking their chemical bonds, converting them into harmless carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water (H₂O).
2 Particulate Matter (PM2.5 / PM10)
While COSFE primarily targets gaseous pollutants, the reactive species produced by PtAg-PC also help aggregate fine particles, making them easier to capture and remove from the air.
3 Mold & Bacteria
Hydroxyl radicals and superoxide ions attack and destroy the cell walls of airborne bacteria and mold spores, effectively neutralising them and preventing growth and reproduction.
4 Odour Removal
Odours from food, pets, smoke, and other sources are typically caused by complex organic molecules. COSFE breaks these down into odorless, non-toxic compounds, leaving your car interior smelling fresh and clean.
Effective Even Without Light
Unlike conventional photocatalysts that rely solely on UV, PtAg-PC remains active even in low-light or no-light conditions. I was skeptical at first because it doesn’t have a strong scent, but after a few days my car really does smell cleaner—more neutral. It’s not overpowering, just fresh.
The product feels premium, and the packaging was clean and simple. I haven’t noticed a dramatic difference in air yet, but I do think the musty smell from my trunk is gone.
